ABOUT US
TEAM MANISCALCO
We here at THE DOGFACE SOLDIER believe that each person has value. It is our intention to treat each of you as we would like to be treated ourselves … with respect, courtesy and honesty. It is our goal to provide quality material to the collecting community and to keep you, the customer, happy and excited about your purchases from us. We look forward to a long and fruitful relationship with each and every one of you and thank you for your interest and your business.
The Maniscalco team brings with it over 60 years of collecting experience and business management to this website. We can be found in attendance each year at the MAX Show and The Show of Shows. We have attended the MAX Show as collectors or dealers every year since its maiden voyage in Baltimore. We continue to strive to build on a reputation for honesty, courtesy and friendly dealings. Our team consists of:
PHILIP MANISCALCO – Director of Operations
As an internationally renowned collector of fine military antiquities, Philip oversees many of the day to day business operations from inventory management to sales and distribution. Philip, along with his dedicated team members, works diligently to deliver the highest quality products to every corner of the globe. Using techniques acquired as an Operations Manager in the transportation industry he continues to seek innovative solutions to improve the business and to provide top flight service to our customers.
MICHAEL MANISCALCO – Business Development
Michael is involved in all phases of our operation including acquisitions, show setups, educational displays and order delivery. He is a critical part of the team and essential to our courteous customer service policy. His expertise in public relations and business administration adds a dynamic facet to the operation of THE DOGFACE SOLDIER. His visionary design and display concepts can readily be seen at any of the shows where The Dogface Soldier is in attendance. Michael takes great pride in customer interaction and his personalized customer service techniques.
JAMES MANISCALCO – Advertising Manager
James has been involved in the business since 2008 overseeing everything related to the advertising field. He also serves as our on site computer expert, keeping the website, the servers and the backup systems fully operational and in top notch operating condition. He also works as a supervisor at a printing plant for newspaper advertising that is used in newspapers around the country. James brings a wealth of technical expertise to the job and takes great pleasure in providing the best quality service to our customers.
RICHARD MANISCALCO – Consultant and Photographer
Richard began collecting in 1955 at the age of 10 when he was given a German P-38 pistol by a 99th Division veteran who brought it back from the Battle of the Bulge. This ignited a flame of interest that continues to this day. He has collected militaria for 40 years prior to opening a successful online business in 2005. Unfortunately, this business was forced to close down in December 2014 after 11 years of successful operation due to personal reasons.
Richard retired from 30 years of Federal service in 2013. He is a United States Marine Corps veteran having served 4½ years from 1963 to 1967. In February 1966 he was deployed for a 16 month tour of duty in the Republic of South Vietnam, serving first with Marine Fighter Squadron VMF (AW) 235 and then with 1st Battalion, 9th Marines. He was awarded the Purple Heart for wounds received in combat and the Presidential Unit Citation. He now devotes most of his time working to insuring that your experience in dealing with THE DOGFACE SOLDIER will be a pleasant and rewarding experience for us all.
