This is a very fine Australian Vietnam War Service Medal pair awarded to B. H. Dunne that is in excellent condition. The group consists of the Australian Vietnam Service Medal named on the lower rim, “54165 B.R. Dunne” and the Vietnam Campaign Medal with clasp “1960-”. The Vietnam Campaign is unnamed but is an Australian issued piece as evidenced by the pin assembly on the reverse top part of the ribbon. Included in the group is a circular bronze return from active service pin that features a ribbon with the inscription, “Australian Military Forces” in the center with a crown above and “A.I.F.” below. All this is superimposed over a radiated star burst in the background. Around the outer perimeter is, “ISSUED BY DEPt of Defence” in the top half and, “Return From Active Service” in the lower. The reverse is numbered, “154130”, and with the maker’s mark, “STOKES & SON – MELB”. The eyelet and carter key attachment pins are both in place and securely attached.
