This is beautiful WWII German late war M43 SS Panzer Field Cap that remains in stone mint condition. This body of the cap is constructed of late war black wool material and features a cardboard paper visor. The eagle and skull trapezoid insignia is meticulously hand sewn to the cap with a “V” stitch and with much of the rest of the stitching done by hand. The flaps are held together by two small black Bakelite buttons which are joined directly under the eagle and skull trapezoid. The interior is lined with grey herringbone cotton material and ink stamped as size “54”. This is as perfect an example of the Dachau-made type M43 as you will ever find and one that remains in stone mint condition.
