This is an extremely fine WWII German Luftwaffe short range day fighter operational flight clasp in bronze that is in excellent condition. It is with an even, olive bronze finish to both the obverse and reverse. The central winged arrow is pointing upward and firmly affixed to the clasp by a solid domed rivet. The reverse is unmarked and with long flat pin and catch assemblies. The flight clasps were instituted by Reichsmarschall Hermann Göring on 30 January 1941 and awarded in three grades, bronze, silver, and gold. The bronze grade of this flight clasp was awarded for 20 combat sorties against the enemy.
