Here we have a very attractive matching set of original World War II U.S. paratrooper boots made by the famous Cocoran Boot Company that are in excellent, field used condition. They are constructed of medium brown leather that is supple with all stitching intact. The boots are complete with toe caps, beveled heels and with the “Good Year” trade mark in the center. The soles are also marked in this way. The leather between the black rubber heel and the soul is marked with the size “6½ AA”. The reinforced ankle stitching is in place on both boots. The correct leather thong boot laces remain in place on both boots but are in brittle condition. These can be easily replaced if so desired. Both boots are correctly impressed around the upper interior part with “COCORAN SHOE – STOUGHTON, MASS”. Sewn to the upper interior of the right boot is a perfect, “Cocoran Brand of Quality – Stoughton, Mass.” cloth label. A cloth tag appears to have never been in the left boot. They remain a beautiful looking and highly desirable pair of boots and tough to find in this condition.
