An extremely fine World War II Model 1937 U.S. Marine Corps officers left side eagle, globe, and anchor insignia that is in excellent condition. It is constructed of sterling silver with separately applied gold-filled continents and anchor. It features a spread wing eagle atop of a beautifully stippled globe with latitudinal lines and an un fouled anchor pointing to the eagle’s right. The insignia is marked “STERLING” and with the H&H logo on the reverse of the eagle and “1/20 10K on Sterling” along the shaft of the anchor. The insignia is complete with functional pin and roller locking catch. The silver is attractively toned with toned gold anchor and continents. It remains in excellent and undamaged condition.
