Here we have a beautiful WWII U.S. Parachute Infantry Regiment enlisted man’s overseas cap with bullion insignia that remains in excellent condition. It is constructed of OD brown wool and piped in blue for infantry. Sewn to the left side of the cap is an extremely fine, theater made Parachute Infantry patch. The patch measures 2 inches in diameter and is executed in hand embroidered, heavy silver metallic bullion thread on a royal blue wool background. The bullion is lightly toned and tightly stitched. The interior of the cap is lined in green satin and has a leather sweatband stitched securely in place. The gauze type size label reads, “7½”.
