We stand behind what we sell. All items that are sold by The Dogface Soldier are guaranteed to be original and of correct period manufacture unless otherwise stated. Please read the following carefully prior to ordering from our website.
Payment must be made by PAYPAL, CREDIT CARD, MONEY ORDER or CERTIFIED CHECK only. PayPal payments will be subject to the 3.5% PayPal fee and added to your order.
Buyer pays actual shipping for either U.S Priority Mail, International Priority or Global Express. OPTIONAL postal insurance on the value of each item is recommended and at the discretion of the buyer. PLEASE NOTE … should an uninsured shipment become lost or damaged in route to its destination, responsibility for such will lie SOLELY with the buyer. We will provide a tracking number for each order that we ship. For uninsured shipments, our responsibility ends once the tracking number is provided to the buyer. All fully insured shipments are completely covered for loss or damage.
Return Policy – Your satisfaction is guaranteed!
Your satisfaction with any item purchased from the Dogface Soldier is guaranteed. Therefore:
We will provide a 7 day inspection period on all items sold from our Dogface Soldier web site. During this period we will gladly refund the full purchase price of the returned item IF it is returned in the same condition as sent. The return postmark must be within 7 days of the confirmation signature for receipt of the shipment. The return shipment to us MUST have a tracking number and be insured for the full amount of the original purchase. These conditions will be checked and verified on the USPS.com web site. Under NO circumstances will a refund be issued if the piece is returned in a condition other than how it was initially sent by us.
We will also accept an item back for 30 days after the date of receipt. During this time period we will only issue a website credit for the amount of the purchase. This can be used at any time for future purchases from our web site. After 30 days all sales will be considered final. So please know what you are purchasing when you purchase it. If you are in doubt about the authenticity of a piece, 30 days is more than enough time to confirm and return it.
Any item purchased from The Dogface Soldier at a militaria show will have an UNCONDITIONAL guarantee for the duration of the show only. After that, a website credit will be provided for returns made within 30 days of the original date of purchase. Every “expert” in the field is usually in attendance at these shows. Therefore, if you need an opinion on any piece that you may purchase from us, it may be easily obtained while at the show.
Any item purchased from The Dogface soldier that is found to be posted on any of the website forms will automatically void every condition of its guarantee to the person responsible for the posting. Forum opinions are just that … opinions. We do not recognize them for anything more than that. However, we will recognize comments made by reputable dealers and business associates know to us personally.
Remember, we want you as a repeat customer. It is NOT our intention to defraud you once and then cut you lose. A successful business has its foundation in the integrity of the owners. We believe that each person has value. It is our intention to treat each individual as we would like to be treated. It is our goal to provide quality material to the collecting community and to keep you, the customer, happy and excited about your purchases from us. We look forward to a long and fruitful relationship with each and every one of you and thank you for your interest.
INTERNATIONAL ORDERS will require addition postage. This will usually be around $16.00 for smaller packages and up to $30.00 for helmet size pieces and uniforms. We will contact the buyer directly with the actual cost of shipping at time of purchase. In addition, customs tags will reflect the ACTUAL TOTAL COST of the item and be insured for that amount so please take this into consideration when making a purchase.
Special Note to Foreign Clients
If you request that a shipment NOT be declared OR insured for the full amount of the purchase price, the responsibility for loss or damage will rest ENTIRELY with you … and with you alone. We will not be responsible in any way, shape or form for shipments that leave our hands that are not fully insured. We will provide you with a tracking number by which you may track your shipment. However, in cases such as outlined above, loss or damage of your shipment ceases to be our responsibility once the shipment leaves our hands and we provide you with a tracking number. There will be no exceptions!
A “LAY AWAY” plan is available for your convenience on orders over $500.00. This will require 1/3 of the total purchase price of your order paid within 10 days of placing your order, and 2 equal payments of the remaining balance made within the next consecutive 60 days. Upon payment of order in full, shipment will be made. If transaction is not complete within the allotted 60 days, monies paid to that date will be forfeit and the item will be re listed and available for sale.
